About

Kat Merrick

Creative Arts Facilitator

I have worked as a creative arts facilitator for over ten years, and specialise in creating theatre with and for young people. Since graduating from Exeter University in 2008, I have worked extensively across the UK for organisations such as Bigfoot Arts Education, West End In Schools, and the Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation. I have also delivered projects for Richmond Theatre, and The Questors Theatre (including co-directing their entry for the NT Connections Festival).

I established Katerpillar Creatives as a means for young people to actively engage with learning in a fun and supportive environment. My workshops are energetic, exciting, and allow children the opportunity to immerse themselves in a topic, and explore it through creativity. I am a passionate advocate of the importance of the arts, and bring this passion to every school that I visit.
