Children’s Mental Health Week takes place from the 9th-13th February 2026, and Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from the 11th-15th May 2026. Mental Health can be a hugely challenging topic for children, so I have developed two workshops designed to promote discussion and empathy around the subject of mental health. I provide a supportive and safe environment where children can explore through drama, and can identify for themselves what positive mental health looks and feels like.
My Monster and Me, by Nadiya Hussain (EYFS and KS1) Have you ever been followed around by a Worry Monster? We all meet these monsters from time to time, but this workshop allows children to explore what it means to worry, and to consider how best to deal with these feelings
Healthy Mind, Healthy Me (KS2) By KS2, many children understand the different ways in which we can keep our bodies healthy. Our mental health however, can be much harder to understand. This workshop explores how we can identify and cope with different feelings, and discusses the different ways that we can keep our minds as healthy as possible. All topics are dealt with sensitively, and we work in a safe and supportive environment where all opinions are respected.
These workshops are particularly popular during Children’s Mental Health Week and Mental Health Awareness Week, but are available throughout the year.
