Safer Internet Day

Safer Internet Day will be celebrated on the 11th February 2025, and many schools are using this time to teach their students the importance of online safety. With children using the internet from an increasingly early age, the importance of interacting responsibly online cannot be overlooked. My workshops are engaging and inclusive, and use role play, story telling and games to explore the ways in which we interact with the internet, and with each other online.

I am offering two Safer Internet workshops this year:

Troll Stinks, by Jeanne Willis (EYFS and KS1) When Billy and Cyril find a phone, they decide to send some nasty messages to the stinky troll who lives under the bridge. But is this the right choice? This workshop explores the choices that we make online, and highlights the impact that our words and actions can have – even if we cannot see the person that we are speaking to

E-Safety (KS2) This workshop uses games and role play to investigate the day-to-day tasks that we all perform online, and highlights the risks involved when we do not protect ourselves. We will explore safe practice and the importance of protecting yourself online, as well as discussing the impact that our online words and actions can have on others.

The children really enjoyed your workshop, and the pace was perfect for them! They have been talking about the Victorian seaside all day!
